1. Description of Service

Soleil is a lifestyle and wellness app that provides UV index information, sun safety guidance, sunscreen reminders, vitamin D estimates, and tanning guidance. It is available for iPhone and Apple Watch.

2. Medical Disclaimer

Soleil is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. This app is a lifestyle and wellness tool that provides general information about UV exposure, sun safety, and estimated vitamin D synthesis. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Important:

  • UV index data and burn time estimates are approximations based on general models. Individual results vary significantly based on skin type, location, altitude, cloud cover, and environmental factors.
  • Vitamin D estimates are based on published research models and should not be used as a substitute for blood tests or medical evaluation.
  • Tanning guidance is provided to help reduce burn risk for users who choose to spend time in the sun. Soleil does not endorse or encourage tanning. Any UV exposure increases skin cancer risk.
  • This app is not approved by the FDA, TGA, MHRA, or any medical regulatory agency.
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making health decisions based on information from this app.

3. Subscriptions

Soleil offers premium features via auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase:

  • Monthly: $2.99/month
  • Yearly: $19.99/year (includes 7-day free trial)
  • Lifetime: $49.99 (one-time purchase)

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and functionality of Soleil are owned by Pragmatiq and protected by intellectual property laws.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SOLEIL AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SUNBURN, SKIN DAMAGE, VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY OR EXCESS, OR ANY OTHER HEALTH CONSEQUENCE.

YOUR USE OF UV DATA, BURN TIME ESTIMATES, VITAMIN D CALCULATIONS, AND TANNING GUIDANCE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

6. Data Attribution

UV and weather data is provided by Apple WeatherKit. Vitamin D estimates are based on published photobiology research (Holick MF, 2007).

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France.
