Soleil ("the App") is developed by Pragmatiq. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

  • Location data: Used to fetch UV index for your current location via Apple WeatherKit. Your coordinates are sent to Apple's servers — not ours. We do not store your location.
  • Skin type & preferences: Stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account.
  • Sun exposure data: Sunscreen timers, tanning sessions, and exposure history are stored locally and in your iCloud.
  • Health data: Vitamin D estimates and workout sessions can be written to Apple Health with your permission.
  • Analytics: We use TelemetryDeck for anonymized, privacy-first analytics. No personal information is collected. TelemetryDeck servers are in the EU and are fully GDPR compliant.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide UV index and weather data for your location
  • To calculate personalized burn times and vitamin D estimates
  • To send sunscreen reapply reminders and UV alerts
  • To improve the app through anonymized usage analytics

Third-Party Services

  • Apple WeatherKit: Location sent to Apple for UV data (covered by Apple's privacy policy)
  • Apple HealthKit: Health data written to your Health app (user-controlled)
  • Apple CloudKit: App data synced via iCloud (user-controlled, encrypted)
  • TelemetryDeck: Anonymized analytics only (no PII, EU servers, GDPR compliant)

We do NOT sell your data to any third party. Ever.

Children's Privacy

Family profiles allow parents to create profiles for children. Children's profiles are stored in the parent's iCloud account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.

Your Rights

  • Delete all data by deleting the app and associated iCloud data
  • Revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings
  • Revoke HealthKit permission at any time in the Health app

Data Retention

App data persists until you delete the app or your iCloud data. We have no server-side user data storage.
